Hey all,

I found this beat up Tootsietoy buried in my front yard yesterday. My house was built in 1930. Trying to pin down the date and model of this. I've searched a LOT of images/pages looking for this model, and the closest I've found is the 1947 Hudson pickup, which this isn't. Anyone know what this is?
Thanks!

Can you take pictures of the front and back looking straight on?

almost looks like it's supposed to represent a BMW Isetta. I think most tootsies have a model number cast into the underside. Not sure how or if Hubley toys are marked

Here's the Front (L) and Back (R) ... I think.

Tool marks all over the back end. It was wedged under a 1" thick root.

Yeah, if there was a model number, it's gone. I only knew it was a Tootsietoy because I could make out some of the "Tootsietoy" and guessed the rest. Never heard of them until I dug this up yesterday.
Here's the underside cast lettering if that helps...

Here's a TT 1947 Hudson Pickup which has the same empty box interior, same side profile, wheel style and swept back end.
The front end is different, and mine doesn't have a cab.
I thought mine might be another model of pickup, but with a missing cab, but I don't see any evidence of attachment points for a cab.

The thing that is difficult is Tootsie toy made trailers, foreign vehicles and futuristic vehicles Bus's military vehicles and the list goes on , also I think a defining part is the fin on it.Tried searching for ones with fins No luck.If you can piece the broken pieces in it might help more. The tootsie toy jigsaw puzzle LOL.It may have been some type of convertible as they are normally just a shell of the car without a flat bed in them.I think this is pre 40's as the earlier cars had very little definition to them. Also the double blind hub put's it in an earlier era.

Thanks, B.o.B. I thought it might be a convertible too, with a missing insert (seats, steering wheel) that went in the empty box part. Searched for convertibles with no luck. The way it's broken, it's hard to tell if the fin on the front went all the way down the curve - I suspect it did. I also wonder if it's a boat. It has lines cast into the sides that could be boards, or could just be design details. The Hudson pictured above doesn't have those details on the side, but the "fender" profile is the same futuristic swept curve. Also, the Hudson has rectangular headlights. Mine has round ones, barely visible bump in the Front photo on the left (above).
