Awhile back I was asking about nickle cleaning advice.Member Ahab gave me a excellent tip.All it takes is one of these little dish washing scruby's,a little time and finger grease
.It's a cold rainy day here so I figured I would try to clean up a few nickles that I found in the past. All you do is wet the scruby, ring it out and rub.I was quite surprised how a few turned out,one looks like it wasn't even dug.You can scrub them until you get down to the shiny nickle itself,or just enough to get most of the green and brown crud off."I wouldn't recommend this method if a nickle is already decent or has potential for value"but it is a good trick to make some of them throw to the sides look a little better. Here is a couple before's and the afters. Some I could probably clean a little better, but you get the idea. Thanks again Captain!I forgot to mention you should be able to find the scrubby's at your local dollar store.-HH
