I decided to take the day off today to go detecting, the weather was great.
First I went to a local park and got a hand full of clad then I went to a
1700s one room school and found a small religious pin. I was coming home
about 6:00pm and decided to stop at the school near my home. I have been
working a long grassy area near one of our old New England stone walls Hoping
for some old coins. In the past few weeks I have found eight wheat pennies
there, one of Treasurenet members sent me a message saying I smell silver.
I have not found any silver coins in 2009 until tonight, I think, is a 1964 dime
silver if so then my silver drought is over. About thirty minutes before the sun
set I got a dollar signal on my Ace 250, I said another big piece of junk but
I dug it and got my first ever Dollar coin. Its not silver but I'll take it.
The last photo is of the clad I found today including a 1956 wheat after I
ran them through the rock tumbler for an hour, cleans them up nice.
