I found my first Barber half in a tellers tray at Wachovia one day and it started this. I hope you all enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed putting the book together. Seems that there are only about 35 - 40 thousand of the 1914 left in circulation/collections so I was extremely lucky when our neighborhood coin shop had not only the 1914 but the 1913 and 1915 as well.

That is a great collection, congratulations. I have been tempted to try Barber halves myself. Now your only problem is what to start on next!

Very nice job. How did you get all of those in under a year ???

Most were really inexpensive and common at any coin shop. The key date coins 1913, 1914 and 1915 were all
at one shop, the semi-key dates were found at another shop a little bit further away. Didn't realize that
putting together that set was going to take so long nor $$$$$ but it was worth every penny just looking
at them. They are part of our history and I always wonder where each coin has been and been used for.

Nice job Freedom. :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright: Thats a nice collection of a US history that had been well used in day to day commerce, unlike many modern coins these days. I can only imagine the stories these coins could tell. Thats one set you can be proud of.

Crapola, I have the 1911 S, it is kept with my trade ups and I forgot to replace it. :BangHead:

Oh well, they are all together anyway... :laughing7:, now I have to go back to the doggone bank.. :BangHead: :BangHead:

Absolutely beautiful and well done Sir! :notworthy:

Might inquiring minds know how much that nice complete set "set" you back? :dontknow:

Always good to know what our dreams may cost us. :laughing7:

Two Large is not far off, but I purchased over quite a long time. I am now upgrading coins that I can find in better condition
than what is in the book. I really dislike the 1914 with the drill bit in it and want at least an "VG" or "F" to replace it.

Gonna have to sell off some of my kids to get it though... :laughing7:

My ultimate goal is to have an Auction Book by the time I retire (15 Years).

helluva nice set! nice to see a barber set that isnt all slicked out AGs haha once that 14 is upgraded itll be awesome!

Already in the works and have replaced several. Once I mortgage the house again... :laughing7:
I will reprint the album.
