All Treasure Hunting
I only had a short solo hunt of 3.5 hrs, so I did a little google earthing & found a small spot in a massive field that I have not yet tried. It's the same field as the Edward the Confessor coin find but a very long way away from that area. I thought this field might give me the 1 hammered I was hoping for today. However, although it had some of the signs & it felt quite likely, it wasn't to be.
Still not a bad result;

Early Royal Artillery Button
Rare Early 1800s Militia button, hard to see but 'HVC'. This has stumped the experts & is still unidentified.
Crotal Bell
Spec. Buckle
Medieval Buckle Plate
Pewter Spoon Top (Never seen this type before?)
Brass Weight
Lead Leather Workers Palm Guard (Not pictured)

Cool finds what's the oval shaped object with 2 holes in the second picture?

You have rarely a hunt without at least some pretty buttons. The spoon handle looks really interesting.
Do you know what the pinfire looking thing is? It has a glass insert on top and is lead filled at the bottom. Thrown exactly the same in the trash today. Some kind of old light bulb of a car?

I used to think they were bulbs from aircraft, but robfinds IDed them as the bulbs from cats eyes (in the road).

Yes, a Victorian Brass Horse Blinker, although they don't normally have holes. Not sure why someone did that.

Congratualtions on the nice hunt! :occasion14:

The crown and heart makes me think of a Charles ii commemoration piece when I look at that spoon top.

Nice finds man. Really cool bell, the item with heart and crown and artillery button.:icon_thumleft:

Until I shared that button that you reference on that site they had never seen this type & its not published anywhere. (I have the only known examples) I immediately got an offer from one of his experts. ie did I want to sell it? So basically that is a best guess based on the letters, not a 100% attribution.

Very nice finds on all the relics and coins.
