Found the top part of a Texas Navy Button, and a few other rilics. The button we found today is the one on the top left. It is folded under, and I'm afraid if I bend it back it will break. The other buttons were found in last months of 2007. Added more buttons I found in 2007 all in the same area, One of the buttons with the flower button is a navy button. I don't know if its some part of the texas navies, or what. Texas did have three Navies between 1836 to 1846. The Texas Navy buttons dates to 1838.

very very nice finds.. I have one button and forgot to post it..I dont think its old thou

If those buttons are real, and they look to be, you better go back and hit that spot about fifty more times. You just earned a nice contribution to your retirement account. The navy buttons should be around 1840 but not sure about the republic of texas army. About the same period according to Albert's book. Congradulations.

I'll assure you that the buttons are real. They were from 6 inches to 12 inches deep when I found them. I was really thrilled to find these. This area was an old camp site back in those days. If you will look at My Display in My Collections you will be able to see a loot of my finds. I don't have all of them in the display cases. There's some relics that is not displayed. Thanks for viewing, and I hope you enjoyed it.
