I could never think of anything better then a days I had fishing with my grandpa. Now if only just one of my all girl family would just stop running all these boys off, I may someday have a grandson to enjoy the good life with. You are truly blessed!

thanks rock...I had a friend that said if he had known grandkids were so much fun, he would have had them first. :)
One of these 2 boys lost their dad about 5 years ago and the mother moved them to Idaho. He is out here for the summer and he told me he hadn't caught a fish since he went with his dad. We changed that and I taught him how to clean them also. On the way home he said, "Papa, now that's what I call a fishing trip." :)

Packer,

Nice to see that someone is bringing up the next generation right. They are real lucky to have someone, like you, interested enough in them to share and teach experiences in the outdoors. My hat is off to you!:icon_salut:......Gary

Great memories for those lil guys! My son has no son yet, but he's really showing his daughter the love of nature. I didn't take pics when they were in the gulf surf fishing...it was really something when both caught a fish at the same time. Tangled lines, rod & reel on the bottom with fish still pulling on it. Here's a pic of them bullfrogging.

Treasure the pictures and the memories you are building packerbacker and River Rat. Thanks for sharing...

Thanks for the responses. My buddy and I are now planning on taking 2 of my grandsons and 2 of his on a salmon fishing trip on a charter boat out of Trinidad, CA. We already reserved a KOA cabin in Eureka and made boat reservations for the 21st of this month. Will be exciting to watch them if they get a fish on! :)

This pic of your two grandsons reminds me of some great memories of my two sons, now almost 28 and 30 and taking them fishing. Thanks for sharing them with us.

Years ago me and my daughter watched The African Queen on tv. That was humprey bogart on the zambezi river. After the movie she told me we should take the kayak out to the river and paddle around.
We packed some food and drink and launched my 16ft Loon Kayak for a night of adventure. We watched the stars, spotted racoons, told ghost stores, talked about flying saucers. We were out on the river the entire night.

Thanks for posting.

I need those fellows to give me some lessons on how to hold my mouth...the only thing I catch is poison ivy..

Great pictures of a great day, it should be compulsory that all kids should spend time in the great out doors doing stuff like that, instead of sat at computers and gaming apps on phones. To much technology available to kids these days, that's why we have more health issues with them these days.
