It’s a little late for a reply but maybe this will help for next time.... I had a similar experience a couple of years ago. I got 20 consecutive 2009 $100 FRN star notes in CU condition. I took them to a very large LCS and got $2-3 apiece for them over face. No idea what a ‘good’ deal would have been for them but ~$50 free seemed good enough at the time. I actually got the $50 value in silver melt.
 

i heard that once they had a 3000 and 5000 dollar bill i don't believe it but when i entered the general museeum of newyork i saw it with my own eyes with needels in them i swear its true

I know they had 5K & 10K bills, hadn't heard of 3K ones before. There was even a 100K gold note - Woodrow Wilson on it, I think.

If it's a $3,000 US bill, it's a fake.

What you saw couldn't have been a banknote as such with a value of $3,000 but you might have seen a "banking interest certificate" or "trust note", like this one from NY:
