It's just been out if control here with the heat and humidity. so I haven't been to any of my older sites in a while and it's driving me crazy. I've been at a family members farm that was built in the 1830's. around the house is a bust with all the junk fill but I've been hitting the fields. I did find a Connecticut copper and a large cent here last year but haven't found too many other coins. I'm not sure what the little piece of lead is. It says meat inspection on the face with a bull and the back says USA. I posted it in the what is it also. 1928 standing is the second one ive found the other being a 1917 type 1. A 28 buffalo. And 3 Indian heads 1865 and 1881. Not sure what the other is yet

Wow I'm shot with this heat. I just did the same exact thing in the what is it forum. Here's the pics. Thanks for looking.

Looks like a lead wax seal.

Nice stuff as usual :icon_thumleft: Gotta be HOT out there! I'm stuck inside at work right now, but hoping to get out on Sunday. The lead seal looks cool, but the pics are a bit fuzzy. If you have a scanner, they work well on these sorts of items. I use an Epson most of the time myself. Those IH cents should clean up well in some boiling peroxide. Anyway, congrats on the nice finds :occasion14:

I do but it's down for now. Just using my phone. Thanks for the comments
