it's too dry for a long periode now to be able to dig.....the pastures and fields are just like concrete.
Met my neighbor at his son's birthday party. He asked me if I could probably try to find a lost aluminum crossbow bolt.
I asked him for a sample bolt which read as 19-20 on the Nox800 in Field 1.
After his wife made some corrections on the direction they have been shooting I found the bolt after 30 min or so.
Nothing special but my 2nd find I have been asked to search for. My first was my hunting buddy's wedding band which was lost for 1.5 years before I dug it reading at a solid 14.(4.5 grams solid gold white and yellow gold mix)
Next when we get some rain I have been asked to search for a K98 carbine which has been hidden by a farmer's grandpa. The story is kept alive since 1945 and they asked me to finally prove the story to be right or wrong. We'll see and I will let you know!

That sounds like a cool treasure hunt good job on the recovery

Nice!!! Congrats!!!Pics?

Always good to find lost items. We have done a few.
This new land has a lost wedding ring that we will try for after harvest.

Getting a little hard to dig here also, need some rain. Nice job finding the ring

These tales still live on. Years ago we dug a neighbors yard to find two Luger 08. His father told he hid them in late 1944. Never found anything.
Then another hid in a cooking pot. We found a cast iron pot....no Luger...
Good luck with the Mauser. :icon_thumright:

Great work Horst!

I hope you'll keep us posted on the carbine. Just think, one day well be able to tell BS stories to gullible kids, LOL!

Best wishes!

Nice job recovering the bolt & ring, GL on the carbine

Congrats on the find/return! :occasion14:
