I went out to my wife's grandmothers farm and ran my XLT in all metal mode with no discrimination. The old farm is loaded with ferrous targets and about the only good thing I found was a key.

I left the farm about dark and stopped by a tot lot at a Lutheran Education Center. I only had 30 minutes, but licked my wounds by finding a little bit of clad and a religious fish pendant. I guess every night can't be dynamite. HH

I think I would have gone to bed instead of taking pictures and listing your finds of the day. Beer time... Abe :-\

finds

I believe the triangular shaped metal is the last piece I need to complete my space ship and the "fish-shaped" object is the key. I must have these items and I know where you live!!!!!

lol lol rotfl ;D ;D

Hey all kidding aside I believe the triangle piece of metal is like the two I have found and they came of a swather if that helps any, at least that was what I was told.

Swather? Boy I have never heard of one of those. Maybe a regional name for something that cuts into the ground and makes swaths across a field (?). You can have the items for your spaceship, but I must keep the key to it.

It's something anyway. Old iron covers the good stuff sometimes...

Keep safe...

Looks like great finds to me! I had the same problem of all the ferrous targets also. But being at an old homesite from the 1890's you will find a lot of that. The biggest thing is you had fun, that's is what it is all about.

You can't find anything good if you dont get the junque stuff out of the way first. ;D Keep working on that area, you may be in for a real treat.

Ichthus (Fish) Pendant. The Ichthus (Fish) symbol has long been associated with Jesus. Ichthus, which is Greek for "Fish", is also the first letters from the Greek phrase meaning "Jesus Christ, God's Son and Savior."

Here are links for pendants similar to your's
selling for $40.00 (white gold). http://www.classic-creations-religi...17/categ_id.414/Ichthus-Pendants/qx/store.htm

selling for $58.00

I'd say NOT BAD at all ;)

Thanks for the info on the pendant TeddyB1967. (Per your user name, i noticed your DOB of 1967..the same as mine!) As you said, "Not bad at all". I know what you mean about the junk, but this place you can't swing you coil over 4 inches in any direction without getting a negative reading. Unreal. I don't think I could clear that place out without a steam shovel. LOL. I discovered there used to be an old barn where I was hunting. Wish I had found more targets. If I put in some time there I may be rewarded though...but tough hunting anyway.

I couldn't agree with Nash and Beer Barrel more. If I was in it for the "finds" only, I would have found myself disapointed a long time ago!

Thanks for the comments.

Every time I go out I find the same stuff that you did. But you never know, thats the fun of it (I guess) my wife thinks I'm nuts......maybe so

I have seen worse stuff posted. At least you got out and hunted.

I need the battery cable clamp. I can go, but sometimes I can't get back. At least you didn't come back empty handed.

thats the fun in this hobby, that last ten feet we didnt hit and thought that we hadnt done any good so far and went home might have been an incredible find, how i found my 1908 barber dime, i went back 3 days later, it was close and i wanted to hit the whole thing just so i'd know for sure , and boy was i glad i did !

I have enough "swathers" to to build a bridge

Those thing were planted by aliens or ex-wives. I'm 90 % sure of it anyhow. :-X :-X :-X I find those just about everywhere here in Wartburg.
