Wow, I thought it was about our master and commander and where we would like to send him...

Check the movie out buddy,I bet you would like it.

My second favorite movie of all time (after 2001). LOVE the attention to detail of life and war on a Napoleonic War British naval vessel. This film is a very rich cake with creamy visual and audio frosting.

Did you notice that the gunners had names for their cannon.I havent looked into that yet to see if its true.

Yes, they named their cannons. Interestingly the British also named their steam locomotives up until the advent of diesel. We pragmatic Americans only numbered ours. The British seem to have an affectation with anthropomorphism...:)
I liked a fleeting scene in Master and Commander where, after a major gun battle, sailors moved thin partitions into place on the gun deck while the captain and his officers sat down to discuss their next strategy...the partitions created the captain's private quarters, on the gun deck. I didn't know that was how it really was done until I learned about it later. When those ships went into combat the Captain's quarters were quickly dismantled and a few more cannons were brought to bear. And when the battle was over, the Captain's quarters were put back together. I love movies that open my eyes to real history.
They filmed many of the scenes on a full sized mock-up of the ship in Mexico in a huge outdoor sound stage that had a massive pool with the ship on underwater hydraulic lifts.
An amazing undertaking.

If you never saw the movie "Zulu"I highly suggest that you do.If you cant get it or find it let me know I'll post it here.
