hello all, I have been looking and reading product specs etc and I can't seem to find the answer.

Do any of the mid to high end units have the ability to change the audible tones that the machine puts out for the end user?

My hearing is not the best any more and some tones (lower) are better heard than high pitched tones. So to have the ability to change the tonal output of the machine seems great.

No matter what the tone is, as long as you learn the nuances of sounds as related to the target, it should not matter.

Another one of "thinking out loud" moments.
Sometimes those get me in trouble :laughing7:

Ctx 3030 you can change tones

I know my Garrett Scorpion Gold Stinger has a 10K pot on the circuit board that changes the tone. They even printed "tone" on the board next to it. Goes very high pitch to a mid-tone. It was set at 12 position but I rotated it fully to the mid-tone as it is much more pleasant with headphones on.

My point....perhaps some other models have the same feature hidden inside? Perhaps some phones calls to the manufacturers would be in order to see if newer machines have this as well.

Fisher F-75 lets you change the tone pitch(es) for Discriminate and All Metal settings.

I want mine to talk like homer simpson...doh !!...woo hoo

Thanks folks. Sounds like the manufactures have thought of this too.

I want one that has Good Ol Bugs Bunny's voice telling me....
"Your getting warmer.....your getting warmer....ahh your RED HOT Doc!!"
And hopefully it'll be me doing the Homer Simpson "WoooHooo"

Yup, I'm getting old.
