Hi everyone, I hope you all are having a great weekend, and have recovered from your turkey coma's by now. We love turkey here, in fact so much that we are cooking our third one right now! Chug is so happy that I can still make the gravy, he was afraid I'd suffer from ptsd after getting burned two weeks ago when we cooked the first turkey, I saw the dr on Friday, my burn is getting better, I still have pain and intense itching cause I have a little bit of nerve damage, but its nothing I can't handle!
Thursday and Friday we got rained out, yesterday Chug was able to go to the nearby schoolyard for an hour, he found 68 cents and a really cool pendant and chain!
We got out this morning before it started raining, to one of Chug's favorite places to hunt, we noticed the ground was so saturated with water, that we had to go slowly or we would have slipped and fallen. Chug hit the tot lot first thing, there were no other people around, we had the whole place to ourselves! it was so cool, there were seagulls flying and floating on the wind currents high above Chugs head, and also many geese. My first signal was a Canadian penny, I had some targets that were deep, they sounded good, but then again I'm still learning this machine, I had three deep ones that I dug, just in case. Chug is really awesome about double checking a target for me if I'm not sure if its iron, or what, its cool to compare our two machines, I know Chug really wants to play with mine one day, and he wants me to learn his. Before we do that I seriously need new glasses, my trifocals are driving me nuts.....I look like a chicken when I have to keep adjusting to which lens I need!
Chug kicked my butt today in clad, he found $3.58! and guess what he also found? yep, another one for our collection! Chug saw him in the tree while driving past it, he stopped the truck so I could take a picture and grab him, a couple that were driving by and gave us the weirdest looks! so far we are up to 15 that we have found around town! I managed to find 2 dimes and 5 pennies, counting my Canadian one, and I scored for the fugliest one this year.... did I mention that I really get into this hobby? our feet were soaked,we had mud and dirt everywhere, but we couldn't be happier! here's a better picture of my fugliest ring of the year! Time to play with my buttons again, I hope you all enjoyed our story, and that everyone takes care and stay safe, and are able to find the treasure your looking for! HH Red
