Hi everyone, I hope you all are having a great weekend, and have recovered from your turkey coma's by now.:laughing7: We love turkey here, in fact so much that we are cooking our third one right now! FB_IMG_1479497573396.jpg :laughing7: Chug is so happy that I can still make the gravy, he was afraid I'd suffer from ptsd after getting burned two weeks ago when we cooked the first turkey, I saw the dr on Friday, my burn is getting better, I still have pain and intense itching cause I have a little bit of nerve damage, but its nothing I can't handle!
Thursday and Friday we got rained out, yesterday Chug was able to go to the nearby schoolyard for an hour, he found 68 cents and a really cool pendant and chain! 20161120_155710.jpg 20161120_160247.jpg :hello2:
We got out this morning before it started raining, to one of Chug's favorite places to hunt, we noticed the ground was so saturated with water, that we had to go slowly or we would have slipped and fallen. Chug hit the tot lot first thing, there were no other people around, we had the whole place to ourselves! :hello2: 20161127_104559.jpg 20161127_104609.jpg it was so cool, there were seagulls flying and floating on the wind currents high above Chugs head, and also many geese. My first signal was a Canadian penny, I had some targets that were deep, they sounded good, but then again I'm still learning this machine, I had three deep ones that I dug, just in case. Chug is really awesome about double checking a target for me if I'm not sure if its iron, or what, its cool to compare our two machines, I know Chug really wants to play with mine one day, and he wants me to learn his. Before we do that I seriously need new glasses, my trifocals are driving me nuts.....I look like a chicken when I have to keep adjusting to which lens I need!:BangHead:
Chug kicked my butt today in clad, he found $3.58!20161127_121628.jpg and guess what he also found?:laughing7: 20161120_153500.jpg 20161120_153508.jpg yep, another one for our collection! Chug saw him in the tree while driving past it, he stopped the truck so I could take a picture and grab him, a couple that were driving by and gave us the weirdest looks! 20161120_173308.jpg 20161120_153516.jpg so far we are up to 15 that we have found around town! I managed to find 2 dimes and 5 pennies, counting my Canadian one, and I scored for the fugliest one this year....20161127_104548.jpg 20161127_111415.jpg 20161127_111424.jpg 20161127_111638.jpg20161127_111646.jpg did I mention that I really get into this hobby? :laughing7:20161127_111242.jpg our feet were soaked,we had mud and dirt everywhere, but we couldn't be happier! here's a better picture of my fugliest ring of the year! 20161127_121719.jpg20161127_121728.jpg20161127_121723.jpg :goldtrophy: Time to play with my buttons again, I hope you all enjoyed our story, and that everyone takes care and stay safe, and are able to find the treasure your looking for! HH Red :hello:

Red, I totally missed the burn thing. Glad you are recovering, but how did you get hurt?

I was putting gravy on my plate, when my son came up beside me to dish up his plate, he said something, I looked at him for a few seconds and ended up pouring hot gravy on my right wrist. I got it under cold water and thought I was ok til the next morning when I woke up to my wrist blistering, I ended up with 2nd degree burn, which also hit my nerve.20161113_105814.jpg20161114_071011.jpg VZM.IMG_20161122_180151.jpg it probably didn't help that the turkey was oily, the oil did the most damage, but darn was dinner so delish!!!!

Oh, ouch. It's amazing the things that seem at first to be no big deal turn out to be totally otherwise. Glad it is healing and that you are back to detecting.

I absolutely love your posts! My wife does too... I read them to her. We think the painted stones around town are so great! Thanks for sharing your adventures!

It's not a good day dirt fishing unless you get a little dirt under your finger nails, and for you 2 it would not be complete if you did not find one of those rocks. :icon_thumleft:
