Found this yesterday at an old homesite in western Rockingham County NC. I assume it is a tombac button but was wondering if anyone could identify the decorative pattern and the possible age. Button is 24mm and is dished or concave on the front. In really good condition with the exception of the shank being broken off. Dug it at 8 1/2" in our good ole' North Carolina red clay.
