1st question.... Are you 100% sure you see what you see?

2nd question... Can you post better pics? Sounds interesting.

A tombac button would be pretty early to be used as a Republican political type, but I guess you never know until you know.

I actually see the GOP now... are the letters formed well, or could it just be a freak thing from the different colors? A tombac would usually be engraved, but your detail looks raised which makes me question it.

The pic appears a bit out of focus. You cant read the letters on your computer screen either. Does your camera have a Macro lens (flower icon) setting? macro.jpg
It seems Ive asked this a few hundred times here at TN. :D

The best photos are taken outdoors in natural sunlight.
