Tombac 27th regiment button? UPDATED PICS!!!!!

Found what looks like a tombac button. Smaller than a dime. It has a 27 on the front, nothing on the back. The shank is sharp though. Never seen one like this. Found at an early 1800s home in upstate, NY. Am I really looking at a regimental tombac? Maybe a cuff button?

Sorry about that. All I had was my camera phone. I took about 15 pics before I got that one. I'll get a better one this evening.

Glad you're still trying. Front and back photos of better quality would be appreciated.

Well, its very smooth like a tombac. Ive heard they were mostly pewter so I guess it could be that.

No. dont need to pay to post a pic. Take your pics, import them into a program like MS Paint, zoom in or out to size, crop, save then use the manage pictures button near the bottom of the new thread submission page. I think there are file size limitations too. There is a sticky somewhere on posting pics.
