Detector(s) used
I’ve used about all modern ones but right now: CTX 3030, White’s MXT Pro, XP Deus, Vaquero, White’s TRX
Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
I've had this machine for a for right under 2 years. I took it out to some of my well used sites and on the first outing, I was able to pull out some really deep (9 inches or more) wheats, a silver Canadian dime (old, paper thin) and a Buffalo nickel. I think it was a few more outings and I was able to pull some more Buffalo nickels that I had missed. This may not be amazing, but I had previously detected the spots numerous times with my CTX and I know I did a thorough job. I completely believe that this machine was ahead of its time, and can still hang with newest ones. IMO if they were better balanced, they would be an almost perfect detector.

I love this machine and I hate parting with it, but it doesn't make sense to keep it with my vast array of detectors. I recently did some air testing and it is still high toning on nickels and hitting zinc pennies and a little over 9 inches and dimes a little less. Air testing with a silver half I was getting in the 12" range or a little more.

I've recently had it thoroughly cleaned and I am taking a pretty good loss at what I had originally paid plus the cleaning bill. I will also have a CZ7A-Pro that recently went into calibration/cleaning and I will sell that one too. Please don't talk me down on the prices. It has a small tear on the hand grip, but that is the only shortcoming. There may be a little bit of scuffing on the bottom of the coil, but there is a nice coil cover with it.

$530 will get it to you with shipping. I also I prefer to ship to the lower 48. I will ship overseas, but I would want some of the shipping costs taken care of. I will do a personal check, MO or Paypal. IF you send a personal check shipping may be delayed for clearing and I will be out of town in a week. Please do a friends and family payment if you do Paypal or pick up the 3%.

I will do $510 on this one. I cannot go less.

$485 shipped. That will be the lowest.

The 'enhanced' mode is just totally amazing in how it's calibrated to find the good stuff and I love how well the CZ3D handles EMI. I just checked mine out at a place I call EMI hell and it ran super quiet! Mine air test at 10.5 inches on a clad dime and it's getting around 4 inches of air space over a freshly buried 6 inch silver dime in my test coin garden. My only gripe is it's balance. Not really bad, it's on par with a ATPro using a stock search coil. Not a big deal for some, but my bad shoulder is sensitive to any extra weight. I may end up hip mounting mine.

There's a lot of good info in the net about the CZ3D. Here's one: http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/fisher-research-labs/396049-cz3d-honest-opinions.html

I liked running mine hipmounted but I hated having to reach over for the pinpoint button. I love the auto tune/ pp vco on the CZ's actually more than the disc mode audio.

Thanks Tabman. You don't make it easy for me to part with this detector. I agree with everything you are saying. I've seen that video before. The best part is around the 11 minute mark where he digs the deep silver.

Keep in mind that you have a Tom Dankowski Tuned CZ3D, they go for a premium at the auction site. I've only been out 2 times with my CZ3D, but I did quite well with it each time, even though I'm just learning the machine. I'm intrigued with how well it works at finding stuff that other detectors have missed and how quiet it runs even at high EMI areas. The more I learn about this detector and what it's capable of doing, the better I like it. Like said before the weight wasn't a big deal, but it sure isn't one now since I hip mounted it. I can't wait to hit some old sites with it. It's really fun to use!

Here's some more great info: CZ3D_Tips
Lot's of good reading! It's worth reading more than once.

My two times out with the CZ3D:

I'm willing to take a partial trade for this, depending on the machine. I would prefer an AT Pro.

When you get to your rock bottom price delivered to Oregon... PM me... I have lots of cash laying around...

What's the certified depth? I can't read the sticker on my crappy iPhone.

I think it reads 10.3"

I don't really want to go lower. I paid $550 for the machine and I have $150 (little more for shipping) for cleaning/check up on the machine. I wanted to get at least $500 out of it shipped and I lowered the price from $530 to $485. I don't think I have seen a NASA Tom tuned 3D under $500 ever. I will go a little lower on the price if buyer pays shipping.

Thanks. Looking to pick up my 1st detector, I almost pulled the trigger on a f44 last weekend but stumbled on this and now I'm torn. If masterjedi doesn't buy it maybe I'll pick it up.

It is a good little, older machine. If you do a Google search for "Tom Dankowski Fisher Intelligence" you may learn a little bit more on it. It isn't as well balanced as I would like, but it is a pretty impressive detector. Dirt Fishing has some great videos on this machine. I think Tabman had posted one further up on the post.

I also have a new 5" coil that I would "throw in" for $55 with the machine and a almost new 10" I would do for an additional $75 with the machine. With the 10" coil this machine is really a beast.

I sent you a email ,,,,I'm interested in the Cz3d....I am new to this site, but I go by woodbutcher on friendly forum, and have had many great transactions there. And I'm looking forward to some here, thanks.

If you guys are looking for a first machine this is pretty much one of the best. A CZ3D tuned by Tom D is awesome. It will work well on land and at the beach in the salt sand. This is a high end machine and you aren't going to need an upgrade unless you decide you want a waterproof machine.
