Did some door knocking and scored a new permission on a late 1800s property. The front and side yard had several good hits. The backyard, not so much.
Would liked to have found some older silver or even some Indians, but I'm not complaining!
I'm not too familiar with military buttons but I believe it is a general service issue??

The 1909 wheatie had me pumped for a second...hoping to see the S...but it had neither that nor the vdb.

Thanks for looking!

Great finds. I’m no expert, but I believe that’s called the “Great Seal” button. Used from WW1 and forward.

Wow! Nice score on the keepers and the permission. I dug a 1909 the other day, but no S either. Congrats on a very good hunt.

Very Nice!!!!!! Congrats!!!!!

You must have found silver and Indians since you posted pics? Nice finds! Congrats!

Yes! I added those Indians in from a previous hunt...just thought I would throw them in there. :)

Nice hunt and nicely displayed! :icon_thumright:

Nice finds. Those trade tokens are really cool. I never saw any that were heart shaped before.

Looks like it was a very good yard for you. Great mix of coins and relics. Your button is a General Service Great Seal button in use since 1902. There are some differences in the button designs for WW1 and WW11. You can check the back mark. Is the button 1 piece or 2 ? etc. You can research to see which one you may have.

Nice finds looks like that IH got hit by a horse drown reel mower...

Nice collection of stuff and things!! I really like the “around the corner IHP” congrats

I will have to check the back of it and get back with you! Thanks for the info!

Looks like a dang good yard to me. Sorry there wasn't anything a little older. Still pretty awesome though. Congrats!
