Those goodies are more scarce than your common silver. I like the different shapes and the patina.

Nice digs!
I believe Kuppenheimer sold suits in Chicago at least until the 1980's or 90's.
They may stiil be in business.

I'm assuming that those tokens are blank on the other side. You dug some really nice stuff there, great 1880-1900's era goodies. I live and breathe to detect tokens, and have yet to find any square shapes. I will come back and look at your post often.

Great Tokens... I was always told that saloon token were worth more then others. I would be curious to hear
how much those are worth?

Thanks to everyone for all the kind comments and help.

The Samuel you found was his father, his son ran a saloon in the late 1800's on Broadway. It is still standing and is still a popular saloon and landmark. The building dates to the 1850's. I have never seen a token with his name on it but because I love researching local history I knew where it was from when it popped out. I was only a block away from the building and could look up and see it. The Helvetia Sharp Shooter token is even more historically important to us locals. This group is still alive and thriving and responsible for alot of progress in the community. I have never seen this one before either. It was found in an area with all 1860's-1910 era coins and relics. As far as value I have no idea but I would have paid alot for either if I didn't have one. I know I won't be selling them to find out. The backs are blank and look to be identically made except the way they read, one as a square and the other on end.

nice plate!!!!!!! MR TUFF
