Sometimes you just cant find any history on the tokens, but they are still a nice historical piece to dig.

If you can give us a area that it was found in, it could help narrow it down, and give a reference point to research.

Sweet token. Love those ones that are not round. We have a few which we have never been able to ID as well. It's frustrating!!!

Picking what I can off the token, I see Fast Jim's - Bartholomew - Restaurant - Hartford. I'm going to hazard a guess that a good place to start looking would be Bartholomew Ave. in Hartford, Connecticut.

thanx ... the hunt for info actually has the same anticipation level as hunting for treasures.

ya it was a good fun feeling that ya never know what ya been walking on in your own lawn lol

You might send Idahotokens a PM, he has a lot of references on tokens.

love digging tokens

The Bartholomew Restaurant is listed in the 1946-56 Hartford City Directories at 122 Bartholomew Avenue with Andrew Howaniec (in 1946). Mary Papalao (in 1950), and Matthew Guastamacgio (in 1956) as proprietors. Probably somewhere along the line one of the proprietors was a guy named Jim. What is the measurement (across the flats) of this token?
John in the Great 208

nice thankyou -- i really do appreciate it.

tomorrow i'll bring home my calipers and check -- it is cool-- and i thank you very much --I am finding quite a bit of stuff

Even better is I pasted one side of each of the 2 tokens.... Yes I found 2 on my own property. One side is better on one token and yes the other is better on the the other token...way cool
