Re: token with cut out star

Welcome to TreasureNet :hello2:

Hopefully someone here will be able to ID it, meantime here's a good resource for identifying tokens
http://tokencatalog.com/index.php

There are over 10,800 listed for Texas, but you might be able to narrow it down by looking under the heading for the town/district where you found it.

Good Luck! Mike

Your Post Number 1 and you ask to be e-mailed regarding a possibly rare token, of which you provide very vague pics of one side only, along with some vague information.
Please post better pics and explain what the 'ribbion' is?
Cheers, Mike

Hi eliseopg - Thanks for your e-mail regarding the new awesome pic :icon_thumleft:
Just a tip, next time you improve or add anything to your posts, add a further little message as well, this will bring your post back up to the 'first to be seen' by all the 'hungry to hunt' WhatIsIts fans -like me ;D

I had previously searched (to the best of my ability) the whole of the specialist token site, as I mentioned before http://tokencatalog.com/index.php
for "star cutout" - there were several hundred examples and I didn't see yours.
For "star cutout" and "FC" in the words search section - there were none.
Today I revisited and did a brief search without success - however, it appears there can be hundreds of 'new' tokens recorded in a short period on that site.
I think you should consider contacting the site owners and at least add your token to the knowledge bank.
If not, the Lack of Knowledge Bank :help:

Unless of course,
now your post tops the queue,
some TNet Wizard will jump right in
and ID it for you.

Cheers, Mike

The one I saw searching through old threads had 4 tokens in the pic.

ADDED: I think this is the thread but its not the same. I think its a slot machine token with the intials of the issuer. http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,62112.0.html

Re: token with cut out star Posted Better Picture

I saw one similar to it in an antique/junk shop in Granbury, Texas, and they called it a bar token. Not sure what bar or where, but that is what it said on the coin flap.
