Any idea how old these tokens might be?

They say "SHOT WITH A REMINGTON RIFLE" on one side, and "SHOT WITH A REMINGTON KLEANBORE CARTRIDGE" on the other side.

Any info on these would be greatly appreciated!

I agree. The ones that have been shot have a lot more character.

Remington introduced the Kleanbore primers in 1927. They still use the name today.

Here is one shot. There should be more. They may be from a sharpshooters show. Yours may have been hit with a shotgun or pistol.

Thanks! Those are cool - shot right through like that. I have no idea what mine were shot with, but I am definitely going back to the same area to see if I can find any more.

Those are cool, but the really amazing thing is I would be willing to bet that they were shot in the air, probably with a rifle or pistol. My grandfather used to shoot dimes out of the air with a .22 pistol all day long.

WoW! You guys are good!

It's one of those things like you hang a nickel from a branch with a string, 50ft away, for a target?

I always shot the string so I didn't mess up my nickel. ;D

Here in the Golden State, I bought a box of 50, 22 shorts, a couple days ago... It was $10.
and they're just plain old 22 shorts, not gold plated or nothin!

Whew!

Ouch!
$90 for 20 cartridges?

Ohhh... You're in the freak of nature condor zone! Must be.
Copper bullets. Yep, $45 a box around here for 308's.
$90 sounds real high.

I'd send you over a cup of 4895 since we're neighbors, but that probably wouldn't go over too well!

And it STILL wouldn't help... if you're in a condor zone you gotta have those copper bullets.
I think it's a $750 fine and they probably confiscate everything yo got, too.
They can take a shell from you at any time in the field for testing at some later date in their lab.
...So don't carry a 38 or 22 for snakes when you go out hunting!.
Even there on the Ponderosa. (Of course u know F&G can drive right up on ur prpty...)
Box of bullets only, for reloading is $45, also. Barnes, I think.

The rolling shortages are pretty amazing... out of firearms, out of ammo, then they have no primers, then no powder.... and Federal just layed off a bunch of people working in their plant! (rumor)

Interesting times in which we live!

Best

Found something similar today...

Any idea how old these tokens might be?

They say "SHOT WITH A REMINGTON RIFLE" on one side, and "SHOT WITH A REMINGTON KLEANBORE CARTRIDGE" on the other side.

Jim

Mine says Shot With Remington on one side and Shot With UMC Cartridge on the other. Mine is definitely not brass though. More like pot metal or heavy aluminum. Has the bite mark, though.
