Other than warm soapy water and a soft tooth brush. The token is kinda trashed, and aluminum being as soft as it is, I don't know of a better way, without screwing it up totaly.

The other side of the token should have the name of the business that put it out. And the location if it is not a "maverick" without that information. If anything on the other side is legible, post it.

you can alos try pencil etchings , that is place a piece of paper ofer the coin and with a lead pen pencil go over the image lightly , covering the whole surface of the coin with pencil lead, , while pressing the paper down . some times this will help you bring out some letters and numbers and maybe some devices
