Found these and posted them with Today’s Finds. Hoping someone may have a little info on them.

The tokens are a mystery. The US SPECIALTY COMPANY, NEW YORK has a center spot that looks like something was there and is missing now. The aluminum one has a hole in the middle and is in bad shape. I can make out GOOD FOR on the back and on the front there is some scroll work and I can make out a large E on the edge of the hole but that is it. That one is probably from some local establishment that will be impossible to identify, but maybe I’ll get lucky. If anyone has info on the US Specialty Company I would appreciate it.

That's actually a WWI era collar tab rather than a token. It had a screwback attachment to fasten it to the collar that has apparantly detached. In just a fast perusal of Ebay, I found a tab with the same backmark also missing it's post, so I'd assume there was a problem with this company's method of attaching the fastener.

I found some info on a US Specialty insurance company but not sure how old the company is. If the company is old it may have been an advertising token for them. Just my 2 cents worth.

You might be right. It looks like the 1910-1924 variety on the front but I can’t find any with back marks that still have the screw back attached. If we can find one of those then we would be sure we are right.

Thanks for the help and keep swingin.

The one with a hole through it looks like it was successfully used as a target.

That is a possibility, but they look the same if someone drives a nail through them and uses them to fasten tar paper etc. I have seen them used that way years ago. (If the company went out of business and the token was worthless it could be used for anything. People who lived through the depression never threw anything out and used items any way it made sense to them.)
