Token Commemorative or So Called Dollar

Whats the difference between a commemorative token and a so called dollar? It was minted by the Pennsylvania mint in 1897, but I don't know how many were minted.

Technically a medal but also refered to as a "So called dollar" because of it's dollar size. It was struck by the mint there at the exposition site in Nashville, 1897

I found it listed as the So-Called Dollar as HK-274 R-4 rarity, but didn't say how many were minted. or what its worth.
