Just the one day detecting this weekend! So we slapped on the sun screen, loaded up the frozen water and headed out into the 30 degree sun! 😎… will never moan about detecting in the cold again! xx

So what did we dig and where did we dig…. Well we went back the the “Armoury Field” … aka the one full of lead, himself got brave and disconnected the electric fence ( the sheep have been taken out) and off we went.

A gorgeous badge, second picture I truly believe is part of a crown (😉😉)…. Buckles, 2 lead weights, musket ball, and 2 other bits 🤔 one really feels like a tool…. But 🤷‍♀️ …. Just the three buttons, then more strange bits, if you zoom in on the centre one, there is almost a pattern, a lid (?) an 2 massive Roman Nails size in CMs.

And as always the beautiful views we get to see xx

I like history lessons! I'm hoping some day I can do some detecting over in your part of the country. Just great history everywhere over there. Thanks.
Brilliant!! Let me no which part of the uk ur heading too… !!

The building is the old Court House… ive tried researching it… but cant find out much about it.. David can remember locals attending it for poaching… so it must of benn in use up to the 1960s? 🤔… one day i will find a way to get its history…. Its right next to an old railway track that runs from the canal up to the castle… i say railway but it was powered by horses rather than an engine….

Here are pics i took back in November of the builing! xx

And yet another plunge into the land of ancients...

Your crown piece is interesting. (Well it all is.)

Hard telling size from the picture but it hints of music sheet holders. A very fancy model.

Very far out of context in /for your field though. (?)

The crown, is approx 13 cm long and 3.5 cm high… if that helps! 🤔 xx

Nice finds :) GREAT PICTURES AS USUAL !!!! Are you going to start guiding us ?

Any idea how old this building is ?

Good to see you get out for a dig again.
Photo #8 look like seals, though the #7 photo doesn't.
Huge nails is right, are those the biggest ones yet?
