2 boxes today netted one '64 and 14 40%ers. Also got about 45 frosted head proofs- so many I don't want them all but hate to throw them back. Also at the dump bank coin counter today I found a 1934 Wheatie- actually there were pennies all over the floor but that was the only one I picked up cause it looked old haha. Here's my 2.4 ozt. for the day. HH all Mark BTW Grams got to help me again today.

Good haul Mark!! Glad to hear Grams got involved again.....that is really cool.

Concerning those proofs.....if you have a nearby coin dealer, check to see if he will buy them and sell them from the bargain bin if they are not in the greatest shape. There just doesn't seem to be a market for impaired proofs. Maybe down the road....who knows. Just a thought.

That is what I did with mine. I didn't have many but they were an eyesore and took up space. I did keep a handful of the nicer ones just to keep, but they are still circulated impaired proofs...not in proof condition.

Good luck an all the boxes you have coming in for the rest of week. Keep us posted on the results.

I haven't been to the coin shops yet- looked them up in the phone book but haven't made it there yet. I will have to deal with them when I run out of hunting money on vacation LOL. Busy busy, workin, dumpin, and sortin every night. Todays boxes came from my closest bank branch, the one that cut me off on the pennies. I was hopin I wouldn't get that mean teller, I didn't but when I was asked to go to the door to the cage she came walking in. The look on her face when she saw them two boxes being handed to me was priceless- that was worth the price of admission. After vacation I will have to order boxes there again haha. HH Mark

They are also only minted a fraction of what the non-proof versions are. Roughly 2-3M vs upwards of seven times that many.
'Pure scarcity should drive the price up..........and I'll be holding on to them until it does.
