Wasn't planning on metal detecting today with it being sooo cold out. We went to town ate lunch and picked up a couple things. When on our way home we heard this muffled sound from the trunk of the car whispering....you know you want to take us out of here and swing over some land....it's not sleeting to bad come on if a mail person can gt out in this stuff you can take us out and dig a lil....lol well we did. I only found 97 cents not bad for 3rd day out. Plus it was fun and I got to hang out with the hubby and he found $2.06 and a motorcycle charm for a bracelett and I found a hot wheel as well. I have only been out 3 times metal detecting but ya know what I think I am addicted and could go out everyday....lol

That's why this hobby is so addicting. You never know what's going to show up next. One minute you're digging a zinc penny, and the next hole completely blows you away.
For your third time out, you're doing pretty good. Just be patient and learn your machine. The amazing finds will come... I promise

I can relate to the addiction! I've had mine for about 6 months and love every second swinging. As others have said, learn your machine's language.......it WILL talk to you and you will be amazed what it can lead you to. BTW, Hot Wheels are cool to find......I have about 7 of them now, myself.
