My buddy and I searched an old park today that we have been pounding since late last fall and
are still making some nice finds.
Pictured are my finds for the day.
I found the 1935 merc. dime and 1927 wheat penny in the same hole.. a first for me.
Including todays 9 wheat pennies, I have found a total of 70 wheat pennies at this site so far and they still
keeping coming up!!
Thanks for looking,
Felix

Wow, nice digs, Congrats on finding such a good site. Have you dug any 3 ringers in the area and what kind of detector are you using?

Nice finds Felix!

Hey Ringfinder.....

I have been using the Minelab Sovereign GT for this site and have been very pleased with the results I have been getting.
I am still learning this detector and this site is really helping me gain confidence in this machine.
I have found 70 wheat pennies, 3 indian head cents, a V nickel and a buffalo nickel at this site since I started detecting it this past summer.
I have only found 4 silver coins here so far, but I am sure there are more to be found.
This park is right downtown and has been hunted in the past from what I have been told by other detectorists, but they didn't get it all.
It is not very large either as it only covers 1 city block and has concrete sidewalks throughout it's grounds.
I haven't found anything civil war related such a buttons and bullets, but there may yet be something in there to discover... the Canadian cent really threw me for a flip when it showed itself.
Thanks for all the comments guys,
Felix

Wow, you've got the happening place to hunt!!! :coffee2: I'm sure there's alot more good stuff where that comes from.

great job! a nice haul indeed! try digging those and the iffy signals-the ones that bounce around as coin zinc or coin screwcap!
also the deeper tones with the above mentioned! i get alot of my tokens on a zinc signal .but i have a whites! HH!
