I got a couple of brokes,a nice little scraper,A cluncky blade or blank,and todays odd find is a piece of antler tine or tooth...

Looks like you may have a turkey spur there...............
 

Yes, the older Toms' (male turkey) have some big wicked spurs.

BTW, nice batch of odds and ends. Good to see some folks getting out. I'm just up the road in Bryan/College Station and know you got to be enjoying the relative coolness of the last couple of mornings. ;D

Hey Neo, that scraper is one nice peice, glad the weather is giving you a break, great finds.
 

Thanx...Tools are my fav....
#1-Knives-not blade (they are more in the point cat. for me)
#2-scrapers(flake & cobble)Tho hafted scrapers are cool as well.
#3-Bone tools..ANY
#4-drills-Like paddle..(Ya know those that started out as a drill.)BUT points made drills are cool)
#5-Hardstone.-ANY-(as I just can't find them here..lol)
 

NeoGeo, that is definitely a piece of a turkey spur. There are 3 of them in this tray and we find a lot of them on our Ft Ancient sites. I believe they used them as a tool or possibly a weapon.
