I think I've about cleaned out the old farm.

Dug all the iffy stuff today that I'd left behind before.

A '42 wheaty was the best today, along with some clad, and the rest of this junk.

I have no idea what the thing is with the hadle on it, unless it is some kind of old fishing reel.

OH, then I came home and found this food on the grill.

It is "some" kind of old fishing reel. Try to get a make and/or model off it, some of 'em can be worth money.

The reel, as close as I can determine, is either a Hendrick, or Star one piece fishing reel, circa, 1885-1900.

Really cool left behinds !! The food photo is so good that I am now craving a cheese burger and fries !! I think I have gained 10 pounds just viewing all the food pics that show up on here LOL

Great hunting,Im sure you will be back to the farm. I would get some wd40 all over that reel and start it soaking in oil see how much of it you can clean up,I would imagine even any of the parts of it would be suprisingly valuable. A lot of people take the antique fishing stuff quite seriously and they are willing to pay,HH...Shoot

dagnabbit! I was hoping someone had id'd that one....I thought it was cool and was wondering what it was....of course the other finds are cool too! Always nice to come home to finds like the last one too
