Detector(s) used
Minelab Explorer XS-2, Garrett Ace 250
After work hit a tot lot with my Ace 250 and endured the heat for about 30 minutes rewarded with a silver ear ring, 9 memorial cents, and 3 clad dimes. Checked around and decide to hit the shade with the Explorer, 45 minutes later after 3 wheats, two clad dimes, and two memorial cents I finally hit silver, a 1928 Merc. First silver this month and totals for the day are: 5 clad dimes, 1928 Merc, 11 memorial cents, and three wheats.

Great day....Nothing like the feeling of a silver coin popping out of the ground!!!

Good luck tomorrow!!

Great hunt Jack--Two silvers in one day is super.
That Merc is a beauty.

that merc is sweet jack.....i got a few myself last week...good job...and did i hear you say...with your explorer...? i got one too...lol...cool man!

Silver allways makes it all worth while, especially in this heat. Way to go, and get it while you can. The heat is just getting started.

When I want clad I use the Ace 250 in tot lots, but when I want older deeper coins its the Explorer!! Hard to beat when looking for deep coins!!

Great merc and earing! WTG

why do you use the ace in the tot lots.....is it the weight issue...just curious as i have considered getting an ace for that reason...hh jon

Looks like a good day!
I haven't been out since visiting the fairgrounds - getting restless though.

I bought the Ace 250 for tot lots specifically. Weight has never been an issue personally with me, but many feel it is, mostly those who do not have a Minelab. The Ace is a great $200 detector good for hitting those playgrounds and I have never liked using the Minelab there. No other reason, and if you get an Ace for tot lots, you will enjoy it!

Hey Steve, Yeah, former Marine!! I hadn't seen you detecting and Tim was wondering where you were?? We figured the heat had slowed you down. Even tho a Jarhead here, gotta honor you Soldiers too!! Hope to see some posts soon and I've got a lead on a good site, going to check it out next week, over 1 1/2 acres, might need help!!
