Today's hunt was VERY HOT but still produced some silver.
Me and my brother hunted a site about 20 or so miles to the North of us this morning. I'm not sure if it's really alright to detect there or not but nobody said anything. Several people and even an officer drove by and seen us detecting. This place used to be the old Intermountain Indian School in Brigham City until they closed it down, I think it was closed sometime in the 80's. We had nothing but respect for this place due to it's history and not knowing for sure if we should have even been there. Part of the property has a golf course next to it so we stayed clear of that area and just hunted the grass, or where the grass used to be next to and around some of the old buildings. Here's a link to see the site, it's all the buildings with the green roofs.

It was horribly hot so we only hunted about 4 hours. I didn't have any sweat left in me and the water bottles we brought went way faster than expected so we high tailed it the hell out of there before we died. I think we were both on the verge of heat stroke, sick to our stomachs and nauseous.
My clad finds for the day were 15 Quarters, 19 Dimes, 6 nickles, and 21 pennies.
I found the silver merc (44) and quarter (45) in the same hole about 6" deep.
The silver ring was found in one of the corridor areas by the building, the mood ring was just under the surface and the nasty looking knife was right on top of the ground. Boy, I'm glad some kid didn't find that thing!
Thanks for looking everyone!
