today's hunt. colonial copper and more keepers

Hey folks. Got out for an hour in loyalist field #1. Right off the bat, I nabbed two coppers. One was unrecognizable and the other is a 1784 French Sol. Kept trucking along and out comes a 1901 IH. Then it was a 184? US LC, which I don't have a pic or video of. It's soaking at the moment. The Canadian Machine Gun Corp shoulder flash polished off the day. Thanks for looking guys and HH

Hell of a hunt buddy! Any day with a few old coins is killer

Thanks Abe! I was cold, soaked, covered in mud and I loved every second of it!

Very nice finds. Congrats!

That french sol is a very cool find. Not many around here.

Thank you. They are apparently hard to come by. So happy to have it!

Ya dont see many on here and I've only found one. Iron patch Id it as a late 1700's half sol. It was really toasted but finding the odd coin or relic is what I like about this hobby. Congrats again

some nice old finds there…maybe you'll hit a nice silver before the freeze…The CMGC piece is neat too...

"Cold, soaked and covered in mud"...and loving every second..that folks..just sums up why we do what we do..I can totally relate, when I am on a good site pulling good stuff, I am oblivious to everything around me, concentrating on the task at hand, ignoring cold, rain, rabid dogs and bums asking for the change I've found. Great finds!!...ddf

Great hunt and great finds,
Congrats.

Thanks guys! The odds of me ever finding another 1780's French Sol is slim...very, very slim. It'll be my best find this fall. Season is almost done here in Canada. Time to dig out the touque and build me an igloo eh!

Now those are some nice Old coins, great hunt!!
