I never scrapped b4.if you do not mind can you tell me where you scrap?is it by the old jungle habitat/airport
or do you go farther,maybe in nys?do they ask for photo I.D.?any tips will be appreciated.

just look around where you think people would dump there old garbage. all of the lead that i have was from one huge pipe that was dumped in the woods behind a factory. and theres still about another 40 pounds there. all of the aluminum was from 2 old signs that someone dumped by an old abandoned rail road where they have quad trails now.

and i have never been asked for ID.

I already have my mini trove of abandoned copper.I never come across any significant amount of lead or
aluminum in my searchings,iron is not worth my trouble.

I am just looking for tips to get the best price and not get scammed.I want to minimise the recyclers
labor so there would be more money for me.

I want to compile a list of local metal yards so when I am ready to scrap,calls will be made for best price.

in orange and rockland co's they started recording ID's over a certain amount (?) do to theft of in use metals on the rise(new homes,streetlights,etc).

if you do not mind can you pm the name of the metal yard you use so I can add it to my list.when I
get around to scrap (been busy) I will post the results and pm you the yard that was used.
