Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
The weather was just right today for metal detecting. I went to a new school today and hit the wood chip playground first.
Today was also unique because of one coin in particular. For whatever reason a British 2 pound coin was among the finds today. It rang up 80 on the T2. I knew it was a weird signal to me but was solid so I dug it. Glad I did. This is the first british coin I've ever found or held. Why it was over here in the states on a playground is a mystery. On the coin edge it reads "Standing on the shoulders of giants"
Also among today's finds- 10 quarters, 13 dimes, 13 nickels, 22 pennies, a couple zippers, a locket, a vehicle key, an earring and two buttons. This was a very fulfilling hunt today. Yes, it's a lot of clad but the coinstar machine will digest that crusty stuff.
