1910 House I found all clad coins in front parking area and rear parking area. I found the warehouse token in the front along a stone wall. In the rear of the yard I found the sterling silver pin. I wonder the app. date and if the stones are real. Sterling KB, any ideas. The bottle seems to be a medicine bottle. Dosage amounts on back and some sort of writing on the front. 2 and a half hours and that was it. And the square nail was in the old house.

Nice digs, Phil. That pin is in great condition, but the design certainly does make it look older, maybe 30's-40's?

Lookin GOOD there! Congrats on a good day detecting. As you rework the place several times, the better stuff will start turning up for you. Nice pix too. I'm jealous. I'm still having a hard time posting good pix. Spotz

Taking pix is easy once I find things. This is the only private homestead I can hunt. I went over the yard several times today. I feel like I covered it. But I know you can never find everything. Thanks for the compliments

Cool stuff. 8) Seems like there should be some silver at a 1910 site.

Tomorrow Im hoping to search a house built in 1865.....the oldest in the area that anyone is living in. Its in the wifes family so maybe I'll get to look it.

Phil, if you haven't already tried, go back over with a slower swing say 1 1/2-2 sec per swing and overlap your coil by 1/2. Pretend you are using a 4" coil instead of an 8". Let us know if anything else shows up. HH

Phil, Really interesting assortment of finds. Great work! Love the pictures too. Let us know what you find out about the pin. Jim Cal

I found out it is a dog on the front. And I was told a nursing bottle. Thanks to all for id help on it.

Cool finds. Don't give up on that site, I keep finding things in my own yard and Ive been over it at least 20 times.

Phil, I am working a similar site every chance I get and always find something different each trip. I haven't found that silver yet either but last time I found a tiny gold plated hoot owl pendant. Also, every time it rains I find a few old marbles. Of course the marbles can't be detected but some of them may be worth something to a collector. I suppose the rain washes them to the surface but I haven't found any of them digging. I'm hoping I'll find a coffee can full somewhere, sorta' the mother lode! I found a WWII mill (1/10th of a penny value) where they had removed a sidewalk,so look there if there was one. Every time I go out I get so many hits it's confusing and I am going to try my 4" coil and see if I can nit pick a little and get some better separation. I'll let you know how that works out.

Phil,

Have you done any research on the house? I'm sure you have since you know the date it was built. Did you have a chance to see any old photos of the house? Many times the old photos will show details like building that are no longer there, storage areas that are no longer there, old walk ways that are grown over, or porches/sidewalks that have been removed. Really do you homework on this if you haven't already. If your lucky this could really pay off! You'll be able to concentrate on the hot spots of years gone by ;)

Good luck,
Rod

PS: Great finds so far! Keep at it :)

Have you noticed all the clad coins with nicks cut out of the edge? I was wondering why and it dawned on me that they were probably hit by a lawn mower when they were on top of the ground. I also have found a couple of watch backs but not the watches themselves. I believe they too were hit by lawn mowers and the small parts scattered about. At least that's my best guess.

RTDE,
Here is the close up of the token. Second one I found, lost the first one while telling the story to my father in a restaurant. Oh well maybe more will follow.
