Went back to the place I had found a couple of days ago and did a little searching. Found another part of a horse or ox shoe.Couple more square nails. An old knife blade. UMC NEW CLUB NO 12 and WESTERN FIELD NO 20 that hadn't been fired. Pottery shards. Some type of tool that I have no clue, maybe to pry off horse shoes. HH RJ

Might that tool be something used to shave the hoof before shoeing ?

Looks like a right old place!

ox shoes usually look more like a comma or number 9 with the hole filled in. Keep at the place, It must hold some goodies!

Keep clearing out the iron sooner or later the good stuff will start popping up.

what do you think your site was originally? looks like old farm or barn site. anyway get it to give up it's secrets and it's treasure.

Not for sure what it was,but the rock walls on the outside perimeter stand 6 to 7 feet high in the back of the place. haven't found any coins yet but who knows, maybe latter.
