A cold morning here, frosty first thing, but as sleet and rain forecast tomoz we felt we had to be brave today!

With shooting season in full swing and a lot of our fields flooded we went to the old Courthouse field not much except lead here now, so we went through into the next field which is a bog… I stayed on the margins nd let himself brave the squishy bit! 😆 xx

First of a little lead bag seal, always nice to find, then the usual musket balls, a couple of lead bits, squashed thimble, some kind of pin, buckle bits, some kind of catch thing, spoon handle and stylus, bronze pin, buttons, couple of pre dec coins, a George 1st (I think) and my first silver of the year, 1866 Victoria six pence.

Pics of Himself’s mud amalgamation… because it amused me 😆 xx

Absolutely splendid recoveries!
Congrats!

Your silver sure traveled through a lot of hands....

Building pic begs permitted investigation of course. It's upper floor perhaps a prior roof before it was a ceiling? Or it's how floored is all...

Himself looks a tad bit taller.

Great finds as always blossom. You get extra credit for braving the cold, and sniffing out that silver. I love the pic of Himself and those muddy, muddy boots. That shot speaks volumes! Well done.
