Went today to a property with a barn built in 1812. The thick brier bushes prevented me from getting to the foundation near it that is left. I will take a machete next time to take care of that. Anyway here is some of the stuff I found. My Favorite was the number 9 found not far from the barn. Frozen ground sucks and digging it sucks worse. Here are some of the pictures of the number during and after electrolysis and some of the other odds and ends. It was a fun day but hard digging and briers everywhere made it tough. The constant sound of gunfire in the woods did not help either. I was lucky nobody thought I was a Deer Metal Detecting on 2 legs haha!
Cleaning 9 with electrolysis
Remains of the mess
The end result
Some other miscellaneous goodies from today. Shell casings, bullet, odds and ends, button, 1930 wheat, 2 fried coins.
