Today's finds, silver rosie, wheats, nickel, and some relics
It was a nice day today, about 65 degrees here. I don't have any good sites lined up so I headed back to my parents huge yard to do some much anticipated detecting. Got to hunt today nonstop for about 5 hours there, dug tons of trash, mostly foil, nuts and bolts, and pieces of copper pipe and fittings, but the coins that I did manage to find were all keepers!! Also got my second silver coin find, this 1953D dime, along with a 1946 nickel, and three wheats, 1953, 1955D, and 1956.
Found a few relics, this rusty bone handle pocket knife with a broken blade, a couple paper shotgun shell butts, a neat looking button with a windmill on it, and a couple wheels off of an old toy train. It really felt good to be able to get out today and it is supposed to hit 70 here tomorrow....too bad I'll be at work until dark....oh well, until next weekend.....
