Todays finds killed my Lesche...

Today's finds killed my Lesche...

But thankfully my new one arrived! Thanks Rick(NovaScotia) for getting it to me.

I planned to use my old one until it snapped, but the cracks in it make it too flexible to dig a deep target. The "street fair" token/medal was in the alley behind an old house across the street, ground was hard as a rock, and it was 8 inches deep. I started the hole with the old digger...had to finish with the new one. Unfortunately I scratched it, oh well.

Anybody ever seen this before? The design tells me 1900-1930ish.

Also got a crusty silver dime, broken silver/agate ring, an older Canadian penny, and a roman helmet thing.

My cat Willow usually accompanies me when I dig close to home haha...
I see storm clouds rolling in...thank god, I need this ground to soften up!

I have an old gator knife from kllyco and it is the same mine snapped and a friend welded it back together. I bought one of the lesche knife but I prefer the serrated edges on both sides used it one time, don't care for it and put it back in the box . Kllyco said they would replace the gator for free but I just could not part with it. So its holding up okay and as long as it can be welded again I will keep on using it.vanzutphen

She sometimes gets in my way, looking for a head scratch while I'm down digging. A couple weeks ago I accidentally bonked her right in the face with the butt end of my digger, but she forgave me quick haha.

ive had property owners dogs sniff me and rub against me so aggressively while i was digging they've knocked me over lol

I would post pics of the " aggressive rubbing " but this is a family friendly site
Some days, I have to tell him to change his digging clothes though. He scares away permissions I think.

That can be a little unnerving, but if they're friendly, just roll around in the dirt with them and enjoy it haha!
