I was sure wishing I had a backhoe. I used a short handle round point shovel. I wish I would have at least had an axe to cut the roots loose. It was tought digging.
THATS HUGE!!!!. I usually ignore the signals that are more that a few inches long. They always end up being beer cans. WTG> May want to invest in some tractor impiments.
Having followed a pair of mules for about 40,000 miles in my youth, I would say that was from a 2 horse, John Blue turning plow, the smaller piece is the part that they replaced after about 1000 miles or so in a furrow, the other is the wing.

Additionally the arrow shaped piece is from a separate plow altogether, usually found on the tip of a fertilizer distributor where you could get close to the plant a insert the fertilizer 2 inches to the side of the plant and 2 inches below ground. It is from a one horse outfit. Gee up mule, now haw haw a little.
Actually the small piece is a hand tool. It had a handle in it like a shovel. Part of the wood is still in it. The smaller plow was used on a one horse plow. They called them back on the farm in Mississippi a turning plow, half shovel. The big one is definitely a two mule plow. I felt like one of them when I got out of those woods with it.
