Thanks for posting, If your ever up for some hunting in Hardin or Decatur Co., lmk.

Woohoo! I would call that a big beautiful archaic blade down here.
Damm!! There's a centerpiece! !

Here's one from Texas.."the sand pit site" found in association with early archaic points.

It does look a lot like the one I found. I hope I get another one when I go back tomorrow.

I hope you do too! Congratulations on that one. That's alot of nice material for one artifact.
It might be time for an avatar change.

That's an awesome find! That almost looks like the one I left on the sandbar when I lived on Lower Beaver Rd. Just kidding!

I owned a 8" example had it papered by two authenticators. it is a archaic bi-pointed blade...some feel that they are first stage Harahey Knives before resharpening creating the bevels known on Harahey......looks like hixton quartzite....

That's just increadible. Nice find- and nicely lit avatar pic. I'd be living next to that river! Go get more and show us everything! Yak

Thats amazing it didnt get broken in the river. Its a great looking artifact, congrats.

Super Piece!!!! Not to many pieces that long are that nice and thin. Looks a lot like the hixton material from wisconsin. Here's my favorite Hixton piece for comparison.

I made it back out but didn't find anything as nice as last time. The river went up so when it goes back down ill be there.

Any chance on seeing the black one closer both sides? The top one. You got some nice flake tools in that hunt.

i would like to see how river worn it is too...was it newly washed out or in the river for a time....how smooth is it?
