Today's Find

Found this tool in an area that dates back to the Civil War. Have found numerous musket balls there, including the one I got today (in the picture) and the cannon ball fragment, a previous find. The Confederates were camped here, then driven out after a fight with the Union troops. After the war, this area, which is on a rocky slope, was planted in fruit trees. I don't think it has been in use for about the last 50 years or so. The tool blade is 5.5 inches in width. I think this is a farming tool used after the war but don't know for sure. Any help with identification would be appreciated.

I took the tool to a friend who has lived in this area all his life (79 years) last night. He was stumped but called me later (woke me from a deep sleep in front of the tv) and said he thought it was a scraper used to clean the concrete floor at the canning factory that used to be here. That would have been in the 1940's and early 50's.
Thank you to all who took the time to reply.
