Pretty cool Jimmy...People used to wear copper braclets for Arthritis.....yours looks different than those since it was painted gold and has the design. Nice find.

Nice find! I'd be surprised if there were no markings on it, as it seems well made... maybe we can figure out more about it if you could find any marks? Regardless, its pretty cool.

No markings at all.I would like to know more about it though.

Copper bracelets were worn in the 1800's for arthritis, very popular during civil war and I am sure that people inscribed them the same way that the coin love tokens were made for sweethearts . Its a beautiful piece. WTG

By the design I would say that copper bracelet is quite old. That's a very nice find from the site .There should be some more great digs to be made there.Getting through the trash to find treasures like that is definitely worth some more thorough hunting.
Best of luck to you. HH!

Any guess as to its age,or how could I move in the direction of getting an approximate date on this? Any help with this is greatly appreciated.

Thanx for the replies all.

Yep, a very nice piece, and a keeper for sure, WTG!!!
Good luck, & Happy hunting~

Heres a pic of the other side after I bent it back to shape.

you are so right seeker.it rang and sang, loud and proud.

I can't help you with an exact date on the bracelet and would have to agree with gypsyheart on it being a mid to late 19th century piece. It's a great find regardless of it's age. Best of luck to you and HH!
