As far as I know all WWI collar discs are thick and have a threaded stud on the back. You're a Mutt just like me. My Dad's family is from Hagerstown, Md. and Mom's are from Luray, Va. I was born and raised in Hagerstown, moved down here in 1973 after getting out of the Navy. IIRC Harney is near Emmitsburg. Never did make it over that way. I enlisted in the Navy and left in the fall of 1968. Never went back except on vacations.
