todays find, and a question

i found this today at the beach. the cross is silver that i know. but does anyone know what the hallmark says, i don't think its in English. the chain that it was attached to is marked something im not sure what it says. the detector says its gold. but its silver in color. can anyone tell me what this is, white gold? plat.?

Maybe Greek writing maybe Cyrillic. Dunno mate just my guess.

This is what I found so far on this

The letters "IC|XC" (with the bar above them) is the Greek contraction/abbreviation for "Jesus Christ". The Greek contraction/abbreviation for Iêsous (Jesus) is IC, which is the letters Iota and Sigma. The entire word is "Iêsous" with the letters Ioto, Epsilon, Sigma, Omicron, Upsilon, and Sigma.
The Greek contraction/abbreviation for Christos/Kristos (Christ) is XC, which is the letters Chi and Sigma. The entire word is "Christos/Kristos" with the letters Chi, Rho, Iota, Simga, Tau, Omicron, and Sigma.

I found a cross that looks similar earlier this year. It's Russian Orthodox and the writing means blessed and saved....included is a few pics of the cross that I found. Nice cross by the way.
