Today's Digs (5/15/16)

Nice day all in all, had fun, seen some horses with winter coats on thanks to the recent cold snap, and dug a few targets


CTX w/6" coil:
Auto sens +3
High trash on
Normal audio on
Deep off
Combined mode
Wide open screen
Slid the ferrous bar to 32 just enough to get the nails to low tone.


Then switched to:
Auto sens +3
Conductive
50/Multi tone
High trash
Smooth audio
Deep off
Wide open screen to accept all (amazing what you can find that was missed by other machines/coils using this setup in THICK iron)!

Congrats on digging some keepers. I particularly like the seated. They are rare as hens teeth in my area.

The RR ones can be worth $$ if it's in good shape and from a rare RR like a small off branch or wasn't around long/etc.

Any idea if it's possible to get an ID off of them? Like the one I just posted. I would love to know the railroad company it belonged to.

Nice finds and a good spot. The bottle neck has an applied top 1870's to early 1880's.
